Things are just so fuckin good!
Our friends own the best tattoo and piercing shop in town. I have talked about them before. J and J, they have agreed to be our kids God parents at the baptism! We have been friends with them for about 8 years or so. I knew them only from going to the shop and getting pierced and tattooed around the time that Karl and I were thinking about marrying. I saw J downtown one day when I was crying and upset. We didn't have a credit card to book anything for us to elope to Vegas, I had given all my cash (like near a grand) to someone is trade for their card and it wasn't working...right there one the spot without knowing me well J gave me the money I needed out of the shop register and drove me to travel agent to book it! Then they both took me out and got me hammered and lap danced before I got on plane to marry! There have been ups and downs (like when I quit working for them...) but all in all, I value their friendship and what they have taught me about art and life and I am glad they agreed to shoulder the responsibility of my kids spiritual developement! So now my tots have street cred! haha
PLUS J was saying that if I want to enter something at the NIX (the toronto tattoo show) that he will draw this week something wicked for my upper left arm to finish the sleeve so its good and healed before June!
I saw a crazy amount of tots across street at the park last night so we went over to check it out. It seems there is a mini soccer league that has boys and girls teams starting at 2, we asked if they travelled to other parks (lack of transport probs) but no, we were told always at that park, Oz on one team for 2 y/o and Des on the 4 y/o team for $20 bucks all summer they get a uniform and a picture day ! WICKED ! they get to socialize, excercise, learn turn taking and team spirit and its cheap and right across the street. SO it's official I AM A SOCCER MOM!
I am a happy lady, even though my MIL is coming this afternoon and she dissed me on the weekend at a bday party! Whatevs to her, I have been a great wife and mother and she can stick it, I do not need her approval.
