ok soo my Sunday of freedom was pretty nice for the most part. I coulda done so much, I was planning on going downtown and frequenting some old haunts and maybe second hand scouring but instead opted for a lazy and QUIET day at home ALONE!!!! This house is amazingly quiet when there isn't a 1 and 3 year old running around in it. I smoked a tiny bit of really nice pot, made and ate a huge lunch (I normally live off of cereal due to being so busy with the kids) then I had a nap. It was nice. When I woke I gave myself a facial and pedicure with music blaring, danced around a bit. I read some, played on the computer some, phoned people and actually talked without interruption. I had just settled in to watch the Sopranos expecting my hubby to come home with the kids all sleeping in tow, he was running late. Then the phone rang it was the cops. Instantly I was scared. It seems he broke down along the highway halfway home. He had flagged a passerby and asked them to phone my parents (who are old and can't see at night...) to come get him. The cops just wanted to let me know what was up. It was minus 5 last night and I was worried about my babes getting scared and cold, but thought my folks were on the way to him because there was no reply at their house. so my peaceful Sunday was now anxious filled panic because now I am worried about my kids and my parents. An hour went by and no parents have shown up yet. The police woman wanted to get the kids somewhere that was warm and offeed to drive them back to his brothers house (which is sooo nice and I am grateful) so then I knew they were safe and now all I have to worry about is my aged paernts driving around the highway , without good eyesight looking for the van that is no longer there....The end result is after many hours of frustration and having the OPP look out for my folks I finally got a hold of someone in their town to go over and check their house where they were sleepng with the ringer off oblivious to my panic. So all is well, everyone is ok, my hubby is fixing the van tonight and all is well. despite the nighttime drama, I feel relaxed and rested.
