I slept in really late, but woke up feeling that I had to do some serious cleaning. I forced my lazy ass into the shower, and started by cleaning the shower after I bathed. Then I vacuumed everything, washed all the floors, cleaned bathroom sink and toilet, washed a door, washed dishes and dusted. I cleared out a couple drawers in my dresser for my mom's stuff so she doesn't have to feel like a bag lady.

I've been thinking about an exboyfriend from many years ago, an ex I treated horribly when we were dating. I do try to console myself with the fact that I was only 17, but I know it's a sham. We used to be close friends, then it slipped to celebrating our mutual birthdays (they're very close, so close in fact that he was in the same incubator room in the same hospital at the same time as me ), and lately it's consisted of him trying to keep in touch with me when he hears a band I like is coming through town.

While I was visiting surlyclown he went out and bought me tickets to see Steve Earle and called to invite me. My mom had to tell him I was in LA. I got home and emailed an old work address. No response, and I've lost his number. I woke up this morning, thinking about him.

Have you all noticed that when you think of someone out of the blue, it's usually a sign that they are going to show up in your life? It happens to me frequently, to the point where I starting making preparations for when the person arrives. I hope this means I'm going to see or hear from J.
