Five years ago today I was on the phone long distance with a former nyc firefighter/paramedic I was dating. I'd had a nightmare that I was at a funeral and I could hear my dead grandmother's voice wailing in ukrainian. I woke up at around 7:40 shaken, called him. I made him late for work. He worked in lower Manhattan near the trade centre. As we were talking, I could hear sirens start up in the background. We thought maybe there was an accident on the Midtown Bridge. Then he got the page, asking him to come down to help. Down he went, but he missed being crushed like the first respondents because he was late. He believes my dead grandmother saved him. He feels tremendous guilt as he lost many of his comrades that day.

I lit vigil candles for days... for survivors.

Looking at the footage again, I can't believe I was naive enough to think there would be any.

Someone linked me this: http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=7866929448192753501&q=loose+change

I haven't verified any of it. Don't watch if you're a) allergic to conspiracy theories or b) not wanting to see any footage of that day again. Again it could be complete and utter bullshit. If even the minutest detail of it is true, the current administration is guilty of negligence and possibly worse. robot

I was at work. We had a TV for the cricket. I remember being dismayed by the instant assumption it was Arab/Muslim terrorists. I didn't watch much of it.

Honey, darling, love of my life...that film is pure conspiracy masturbation. I love how no one ever points out the grand irony that the most inept, awkward and braindead administration EVER was somehow able to pull off the most byzantine evil conspiracy in the world...and only the brave film makers are able to piece it together. The rest of us Americans are just 'tards apparently. You're marrying a 'tard.
