Woke up, looked at the clock and said fuck it. I forced myself to sleep in 'til noon, a feat not accomplished in some time. I stripped my bed and piled up some linens, walked downstairs to use one of the washing machines and bumped into the dude on the second floor who always uses both machines simultaneously. He'd just started them up. *sigh*

Laundry's been parked in my bedroom. I turned to putting recycling out and clearing old and "mother-food" out of my fridge. Mother-food? My mom puts the weirdest things in unmarked jars and containers in the back of my fridge when she visits. I think I threw out a jar of mushroom juice from canned mushrooms. Pickled beets, which I abhor because of bad boarding school memories, were turfed next. You don't want to know about the penicillin-encrusted dainty I found on the back of the top shelf. Let's just say it had "expires: january 19" on it. That was my doing.

I'm going to go buy some more healthy groceries, perhaps pick up the next volume in the Proust series at the library, and renew my overdue movies. I may stop at the tea-specialty store and pick up a tea treat. The possibilities are endless and exciting.
