I just watched The Apartment with Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLaine and Fred MacMurray. A nifty little comedy from 1960, I thoroughly enjoyed the dialogue and delivery of the lines.
The workplace depicted in the movie struck me as surreal. In one scene, it's a work Christmas party in this giant insurance corporation in NYC. Everyone's loaded. A switchboard operator is doing a moderately bawdy dance on a desk. Every other corner has a workplace couple, necking. Imagine that going over at your office xmas party.
One of my favourite parts of the movie is when the main character gets drunk in a bar on Christmas Eve, and bumps into a kindred soul, Mrs. Margie MacDougall. The actress, Hope Holiday, does a bang up job as the cuckoo mystery dame. I wonder what else she's been in.

Jack Lemmon was so damn hyper when he was a kid!

Long time no talk to. I've been on SG less and less since I started my new job last summer. How have you been lately?
