my faith in the moderation and level-headedness of Canadian politics is exceeded by - well, nothing

the religious Right is on something of a rampage here in the States - but I believe that this trend too is short-lived and may not even survive the Congressional elections in November

Politics - what a tangled web - and so little good seems to get done ......

and yet democracy rights itself again and again and shuns extremity - even in melodramatic America

Ah well, you could always move down here to the good ol' US where the Conservatives are powerless!
