At a certain Opera house, there is a monster that comes out at night,
Because he's ashamed of himself, and wishes to avoid sight.
He wears almost all black in clothing quite formal,
But a white mask is worn to hide what isn't normal.
His face is grotesque, could even be called gross,
And for this reason he let's no body get close.
His self hatred has turned him mean,
But he has softened for a woman named Christine.
He wants her as his own, to stand by his side,
She's perfect and beautiful, and must be his bride.
At this Opera house, he is the only king,
WHo is this monster that can beautifully sing?
