Well I probably had the best day ever at work today , it was some guys retirement do and the whole afternoon was sat drinking wine and eating assorted finger food and cake 
. So I basically got something resembling a four hour lunch break , I nicked one of his bottles of wine as well . I actually ended up staying late for the first time ever , I figured I was well within my rights to do bugger all as management ( Stavros the porn star and Ian beale) were juggling fruit in the kitchen . We need more days like that 
.
I couldn't have handled a full working day today as I was bloody shattered from staying up ages on this site , getting up early and all the beer I had last night . Despite everything I said in the last journal entry I still succumbed to the blue and silver caffeinated devil .. I need it because im weak.
Anyway last night PearlBass and myself visited the Roy Lichenstien exhibition over at the Hayward . Now to be honest I haven't the faintest clue about my art , I know what I like and I know what I don't . I just really love his comic book style pictures and the pictures where his sense of humor shows through such as 'self potrait' (look it up) . I wasn't so impressed with the landscape work to be honest . The conclusion I got was he is like the Tarantino of the art world , borrowing bits here and there from other peoples work and popular culture and creating his own interesting work. I'd say it was a rewarding evening over all .
Well what else is happening to tell y'all ? I will quite likely be able to start going to all these cool film seasons at the National Film Theatre as this guy at work I get on well with is a member , and can bring guests along . We're going to go see Zatoichi at some point next week.
I have a full few days coming up now , tommorow Kate and myself are going for Japanese and seeing Kill Bill - Vol 2 .
Saturday im going to go see Lost In Translation on the cheap whilst everybody else is seeing Kill Bill and then I shall come join people for drinkies.
Sunday its great auntie Phyl's 80th birthday do ...(the oldest surviving Newman I think) , which should be ok in a family sort of way .. and in the evening we are off to see Mr Jack Dee *huzzah*
