Ok, so I've been away for awhile. I had LASIK eye surgery last Thursday so I haven't been able to see Jack shit for the past few days. Seems some "debris" somehow got underneath the corneal flap in my right eye so the doc had to go in and lift the flap back up. Only problem with this is that the thin epithelial layer of skin had healed back so the 'lifting' was more like 'ripping'. So I've spent the last few days putting this milky crap in my right eye so it'll heal. Fun stuff that. But I now have 20/15 vision so I suppose it was well worth the trouble....and the 3700 bucks!
I bought an old issue of Night Cry magazine off an obscure bookseller's website. It arrived yesterday. Happy dance!!! This quarterly published magazine introduced me to many fine horror authors. Dennis Etchison, Robert Bloch, A.R. Morlan, and J.N. Williamson were all either regular or semi-regular contributors. Occasionally you would see something from the likes of a Dean Koontz or Clive Barker, but mainly the mag was for lesser known authors and many of the stories were a bit jagged about the edges.
I like that sometimes.
Well gotta go....there are stories to be read.
