This blog is dedicated to customer service nightmares and my favorite one is when I was 14 I was shopping at The Deb. There was another group of girls there who were apparently shoplifting. The cops get called and somehow I'm lumped in with these other girls. They would not listen to me. We had to sit in the mall jail while they went through the tapes and the police finally let me go. I still got banned for life. It was bullshit.
Also, there is nothing worse than calling a customer service line for an online purchase and getting someone you can't understand on the other end. It's almost like they want you to get so frustrated you give up!

I work in a pharmacy and calling insurances is just as much of a nightmare as it is for the customers calling their own insurances. Half the time they don't speak English very well, other times they don't seem to know what they're doing (I know more about their job than most of them do), and there is always a long hold time as well as taking forever to get anything accomplished. Luckily, Amazon has always had awesome customer service (for me) so I've been pretty pleased with purchasing a lot through them because of that. I definitely get it. No matter what branch of service (retail, medical, whatever) there are always problems. I could never do that type of job despite the fact that I would know what I was doing and get stuff done right and quickly. I couldn't do it.
