So the shindig went off without a hitch. Well, there were a few minor hitches here and there, but we kept them under control and nobody seemed to notice.
The Blue Bongo got off to a slower start than I would have liked, it didn't really start to get going until after 1am. One of the best surprises ever was seeing Rojo and Cherrybomb00... it's been so long since we've hung out and since things weren't too crazy I got to spend some quality time drinking and dancing with two of my favorite Leos.
The after-hours went very smoothly as well. We only had opened a portion of the yard to guests, instead leaving the ship in progress as a sort of set piece of its own. I think it dazzled some, as well as served as a constant reminder of what we're working towards.
Personally the night was a mixed bag of things... Some amazing moments and some emotionally difficult moments, I think I went from joyous to somber and back again a number of times. What a lovely roller coaster, and to think it's all just getting started!
