I have a love/hate relationship with sleep. I love it. I hate it. That's all I'm going to say on that subject.

Getting things wrapped up in Arizona. My to-do list is huge and falls into two categories: must-do and non-essential. Only a few more on the former, and I made quite a dent on the latter.

Random info about Burning Man for those of you not familiar with it. The event is held in the high desert of northern Nevada. The specific spot is a dried out lake bed. The vast wasteland is covered in very fine dirt, and sort of resembles a never-ending beach. The city itself (and surrounding area) takes place in the central part of the lake bed, an area referred to as the playa (spanish for beach).

In other news, I think I know far more than I should about the pumping of water. And it's just one of a billion details between now and the 26th of August. This year is proving to be epic, both on the playa and off. In my life as well as the lives of those around me, bigger things are happening. So despite any of the hardships I'm running into, I'm excited and happy.

Okay, I've got to work on that list, and then cross a couple of deserts so I can work on a pirate ship. We've got a couple scale models and miniatures built, I'll post pictures as soon as I get the chance. In the meantime, there are pictures of last year's ship in my pics.
