I'm getting excited for the weekend, and it's only Monday. Space Island's one year anniversary party, it should be one hell of an event. I'm going to be a complete ass here and gloss over the whole lineup (I'll post the flyer in My Pics), but I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to hearing everyone. Sure I'm spoiled - I just got to hear novaTRON and A-Dog back in April when they were in town, but I fucking love what they do - composing, creating, and performing everything live in hardware. And Random Rab - his Elucidation Of Sorrow CD has got to be one of the best I've gotten in the last year, I still play it a lot. And Da Veed... I first connected the man to his performance at the Vision (decompression) event, he played at sunrise and it was absolutely perfect. Then on New Year's day, not too long after sunrise I heard some great stuff coming out of the sound system out back and when I looked, sure enough he was the culprit. And this weekend he's coming down from San Francisco and he's going to do it again. It's going to be magic.
