I'm trying not to think about a lot of things. Work, money, art, music, burning man, friends, love, travel, it's all a huge jumble of ideas and each is important in its own way. I'm also throwing my life into a series of boxes, and neatly closing them up with tape and labeling them for the inevitable process of sorting it all out on the other side.
I need a box for my life. One it fits into, one I can close neatly and tape it shut so it doesn't spill out and make a mess everywhere. One I can identify and label with a Sharpie.
Either that, or I need the exact opposite, but I just can't be sure. I'm getting tired of being tired of trying to figure it out, you know?

The Faint are definitely synth-pop (Wet From Birth excluded, it's a lot more "punky"). Dance rock really is a terrible term but I've yet to coin another one; I use it as an all-encompassing moniker including sub-genres like electro-clash, synth/moog/keyboard based rock and punk, that type of thing. I'm admittedly pretty clumsy at finding words to classify music most of the time, which kind of fucks over arguments I have, hah. I hesitate to say "the kind of music they play at Club Bang". You know?
