The side benefit of sorting through everything is that occasionally thangs that were thought lost are found. After having gone through the emotions of losing a cherished item and accepting that it's gone, there's a certain joy in getting it back.
I found my favorite goggles. I don't expect you to know what that means, or to care.
They meant a great deal to me, though. When you go out to Burning Man, you need protective eyewear - the dust that blows around the playa is rich in alkali, and burns the eyes. Dust storms are a fact of life out there. My many experienced friends all gave me advice on what to get, where to go, and what to avoid. I got a couple pair of el-cheapo models on the boardwalk in Venice that would do the job, but had no real sense of style. But I also found this other pair, while searching on my own. Comfortable, a unique style to them, and very functional. They were pricey, but I was able to negotiate a significantly better price. The expectation was that I'd probably get something that might look cool, but would leave me blind when it mattered. These held their own, my choice suitably impressed some of the veterans, and they saw me through some of the most amazing days and nights of my life. So you can imagine how distraught I was when they disappeared back in October. After mourning for weeks, I made my peace with having lost them. Finding them today made me very, very happy.

I say you post them anyway.
I wish I had pictures of sixsixty in battle dance mode. When he gets really drunk, like black out drunk he SERIOUSLY battle dances. Like he's all business, saying "I could totally take him in a dance." ha.

Yeah, man, things have been interesting as per usual. Anyway, nice finding the goggles.
