The Apocalypse is coming. Fractal started a thread on the Hook-Up board for the event. I've put more of the event details up at Electric Theatre, if you care to see them.
Thanksgiving was good, though kind of small and low key. I learned a thing or two about the value of friendship, then went and hung out with a good friend (and made some new ones).
During the course of the day there was a discussion of the above event, as well as all the other things that I've either organized or help participate in making it come together. One of the new friends I'd made asked me about them, and he was kind of surprised to learn that I've never made anything off of them or wasn't some kind of promoter for a living. I explained that for me, helping to be a part of creating the event was just as much fun (if not more) than going to it. It's the same reasoning that you'd invite a friend over to your place, or that someone would throw a dinner party. Just on a larger scale.

Fair enough. Well, we're unlikely to be doing anything in the immediate future, so if you want to hang out after you're done designing, give me a call and I'll fill you in on whether we've come up with a plan...and if not maybe we can come up with something.
