Still not feeling journalicious at the moment, but an update nonetheless...
After several nights off (filled mostly with being domestic and recharging batteries and whatnot), my morning show co-host and I hit up the Trashy Lingerie 30th anniversary party at the Key Club. A friend was to have joined us, but we never got those dots connected. Rocked the VIP list and walked in wearing the coolest shiny wristbands I've ever seen (I want to open my own club someday just for the wristbands).
Immediately ran into MoHollywood, his girlie, and a friend of theirs, then grabbed a couple drinks and checked out the festivities. No idea if the SG Burlesque performance was canned or if it was just earlier than our arrival (we didn't arrive until about fashionably late lol), but the performances were interesting and made for an interesting backdrop.
We hit the VIP bar downstairs and ran into a few people (I swear, at this point more people in LA know me as trilo than they do by my real name lol), and decided it was time shots were fired.
Dear Vodka... come to trilo
Wandered back upstairs and caught a sort of amateur performance thing with the crowd as judge. The bastards in the audience went for the LA stereotype and not the most beautiful and energetic and vibrant person on the stage - who really looked familiar... We decided to track her down for a closer look, to say hello, and tell her our opinions.
Upon closer inspection, it was none other than talula! We opted to head back downstairs.. the guy manning the door protested her lack of wristband action, but made the right call to let her slide on in... Our new favorite bartender poured more shots (under-charging and over-filling the glasses... love it when they use regular glasses for shots hehe) and we found a cozy spot to hang out and laugh our asses off. Photographic evidence provided courtesy the trilo phone cam...
After more than the legal limit of silliness, we took it on the road, heading to the west side. More hilarity ensued, I'll just say it involved carrying a body, late night fast food with cell phone takeaway requests, and getting someone back to her car at the crack of noon.
Ridiculously cool day, too, but this chapter's over. Have an amazing weekend. Much love...
