Interesting bit of information I learned today. According to someone I work with, I talk funny. Who knew!? After some discussion, it appears that from having lived in so many different places and picking up different phrases and dialects along the way, my language has somehow mutated into something different. I'm not sure if that was offensive or not...
And then, this just in... that was some weird shit, I've never had a date completely melt down quite like that within an hour of when we're supposed to meet up. Long story, my head's still spinning, and I'm more than just a little bummed. Sigh...
love and murder,
Edited to clarify... things melted down BEFORE we even went out, it wasn't a mere crash and burn folks. Everything's fantastic at around 7ish when I call on the way home from work. I get home and we talk again, and she's out of her mind, she'd gone out someplace with a friend and done a shitload of drugs, and couldn't even form a complete sentence. I don't have a problem with the idea, mind you (those of you who know me know I'm a pretty big fan of decadence), but she'd obviously gone way past the point of recreational use and the night was pretty much destroyed before it even got started.
Huge thanks to nonsense and Boobookittyfuck, they talked me into coming out and joining them at an SGLA group function (arcade night, believe it or not). A weird night, maybe I was out of sorts. But I love hanging out with them, Nonsense and I played a few violent video games (Star Wars trilogy arcade thing and a Terminator game where we got to use guns), then found a high tech equivalent of the old wack-a-mole game. Beating on a tv screen with a rubber mallet is very therapeutic.
Still being a bit out of sorts, I split from the main group as they went off to a thai restaurant, and went with elisabeth, faelynia, spacepod, and Voltaire to a little hole in the wall place a little closer to home for drinks. Good company and good conversation. On the way home V and I had another great conversation that made me feel a bit better about things. Thanks everyone, I know I probably wasn't great company last night, underneath the surface things have been kind of tough lately...
Now go read this interview. One of my favorite bands.
Another edit... new pic added...
