The gift baskets are killing me.... KILLING ME!!! Okay, so I work in an industry where it's customary that my suppliers and manufacturers send stuff during the holidays. But fucking hell! I have so far gotten over a dozen boxes of candy, 3 coffee mugs (2 of which had treats in them, one of which was a hand made ceramic santa head... HERE KIDS, TAKE A DRINK FROM SANTA'S HOLLOWED OUT HEAD!!!!), something I can only describe as a tower of boxes (each filled with something different), a giant tin filled with cookies and brownies, a couple toy cars (technically, one was a service van with the company logo... from the people who fix stuff for a particular mfr), two boxes of nuts, 5 different fancy pens, 2 boxes of nuts, a couple gift cards (one to a restaurant I like, another to an electronics store), a goddamned mousepad (nothing says happy holidays and thank you for your business like a mousepad with the company logo on it hahaha), a Harry & David assortment that included apples, pears, and cheese (where the FUCK did that combination come from?), a really nice bottle of italian wine, and like 72 different holiday cards. And I got a chair and an umbrella. Wait... those two came before the holiday season - they don't count.

And of course, work is busy as hell and I couldn't get time off. So who are my parents angry with?

I am so ready to tell 2003 to fuck off and die right now, it's not even funny. The party will be epic. Orcs and elves and guys on horesback and trees walking around throwing rocks and trolls and big flying monsters epic.
