Leg-humping, let's discuss.
Are there proper rules of etiquette? Good friends would not be offended, yet complete strangers would. How well do you need to know someone before humping their leg is considered appropriate? Is it ever expected?
Left leg, or right? Does it depend on the humper's preference, or the person who is being lef-humped? Does it matter if the giver or receiver is left-handed (legged) or right-handed (legged)?
And what's an appropriate length of time. 3 seconds is hilarious, and maybe even sexy. 3 minutes is creepy, and maybe even scary. Where do those two extremes meet?
Is it customary to reciprocate? Immediately, or at some later time? Is there a statute of limitations there? Someone humps your leg on Saturday night, humping their leg back half an hour later seems fine. But what about the next day? And is it tit for tat, or once the leg-humping line has been crossed, is it a free-for-all?

nice topic though... shit. hard to decide. how about a cross cultural analysis.
i think that in the circles i travel, people are mostly queer, kinky, or otherwise sexually open.
you can imagine we hump a lot more.
but we actually don't!
gay men are the obvious exception, they will very often hump straight women. the more they flame, the more they hump -and pinch nipples! usally with complete tolerace on the part of the woman i think it's because there is less fear that the humpee will feel that the humper is offering/interested in actual sex.
likewise, straight men often hump each other. the straighter they are, the more humping. again, less fear of an undesired sexual encounter being sparked. man on man straight humping is often proceeded by manly grunting and punching. this helps them reinforce their heterosexuality to themselves, their partner and their audience.
straight women will hump other women... but usually to attract a man's attention. there is less posturing about sexual preferences because of the lack of stigma attached to (occasional) girl on girl action of otherwise "nice" girls.
bisexual people... well, we WILL hump each other, but rarely as a joke -unless it is clear for some reason that there is no sexual tension betewwn them (for people who do not know each other very very well)
