After too brief a time in Los Angeles, I'm back in Phoenix again. Unfortunately this trip had to be cut shorter than I would have liked, I had to get back to take care of a few things.
Unfortunately, cutting things short meant I didn't get to see all the people I wanted to see, spend time with the people I wanted to spend time with, or do all the things I wanted to do. Brunch, coffee, drinks... that sort of thing.
Getting blown off on Monday night kind of hurt, though. Not even so much because my time is so valuable or it was my last night in LA, but because...well, just because... *sigh*
In some regards, I was quite spoiled. I not only got to go to the best New Year's celebration - I got to help throw it. And musically, here's a partial list of who I got to see and hear... Alley Cat, Chad Rock, David Starfire, Patricio, Brian Seed, Armando, Dandelion, Azmyth, the Rootabreaka Crew (along with a bonus set by Bartek), Ian, Oscure, Ooah, Mozaic, Kosmikneil, and the Lawgiverz. I also received some wonderful praise for my own set, recorded in December (click to check it out).

And yeah, it is weird to have a "boyfriend," especially after all these years of being single. It's all happening rather quickly, but something just feels right about the whole thing. I'm likin' it. And this will be his first burn..... soooo excited!
