I'm exhausted, I'm sore, and I'm filled with pride and joy.
The exhausted part comes from having spent the majority of last week awake and working on building things with my art collective. Favorite thing I worked on was the new DJ console and stage area in the back. Artful and functional all at once, and the space just felt more perfect than it ever has.
The exhausted part is of course compounded by the nature of the event. A NYE after-party that starts at 2AM and officially runs until 9AM (though unofficially it went well into the next afternoon). The additional decadence and debauchery associated with being a space pirate meant that we were still going well into Tuesday.
The sore part comes from over-exhaustion I think. I don't recall any specific physical injuries, but every square inch of my body feels worked over.
The being filled with pride and joy part comes from seeing so many wonderful people, working with so many talented artists, and having everything come together so that we were able to be a part of the best NYE of so many peoples' lives. It's one thing to get to do all these ridiculous things, but another thing entirely to have people thanking and praising you for doing them.
