Very very good to hear.

But normal is so....bleh! puke J/k

biggrin
pelirojo:
it's a rare but welcomed short lived feeling to feel normal. Normal at least comes around more often than happy which is less than a blue moon. I'm glad and a little betterknowing that you are feeling better. smile kiss

Ahh that fantatsic part of life... you know when that old bitch that is life is really drilling your ass and Apathy seems to be the only thing preventing you from just going apeshit... I used to live down that road, you can still see my old house there sometimes... as retarded and cliche as it sounds, it usually gets better from here... You only start at the top when you are digging a hole... lol

When in doubt break the vodka out... biggrin

Haha! That is sooo freaky! I just spent the last few hours curled up in bed, lights off and The Cat Empire turned right up, trying to blot out absolutely everything.

I'm OK now. Just needed a break.
I hope that's all you need. wink

crazy people are sane people labelled by crazy people as crazy because they aren't crazy enough to follow what they do

Maybe, I think you'll have to be more specific on sharing your bok out dilema. smile mine left me traumatized, suicidal, drunken televison watching, and it felt like I ripped out my own heart and she helped me stomp on it. Or this could turn into a wicked addictive game of truth or dare, of trying to one up the other, then we'll finally meet and find out we're first cousins or something eeek tongue biggrin

Hey. This girl played with a band in your town last night. Did you happen to go see them?

I highly recommend Bad Hand for you to listen to. It's a little melancholic, but not incredibly depressing. But what the hll, it's not like you have to pay to listen to it.

Hope your St. Patricks had less possibly violent altercations than mine.

In California, many fallen soldiers have and are making the news. Many articles are tinged with the sorrow of the families and their calls for the war to end. Perhaps it's because we're more or less a liberal state that the human side of war (namely, that people are fucking dying for puppets of private interests, and the general american population is accepting the farce in the name of patriotism) comes to light to the general media through general media outlets, diluted as they are.

A song that you brought to my mind is Ani DiFranco's Roll With It. Here's one verse, though the entire song is relevant (and it also ROCKS FUCKING BALLS):

the mainstream is so polluted with lies
once you get wet, it's so hard to get dry
we're all taught how to justify
history
as it passes by
and it's your world
that comes crashing down
when the big boys decide
to throw their weight around

(Full lyrics here.)

I've got to run back to work, so I can't really go off on my patented wild jabberwockying. But I really must check out this book that you recommend. I'm finding that on the days I walk to class instead of bike, my mind is clearer for the rest of the day. A fair exchange for the 20 minutes I would've "saved".

(edited 'cause I forgot to complete a thought)

instead of moving forward, we as a soceity/country seem to be moving backwards toward the midevil serfdom of the have and have nots, fightng out a psuedo-religious war over power, pride, and greed. This proganda war on terror is much worse than the 'Red Scare' and these red state conservative, homophobic, bible thumpers love to eat up this shit that they are served up on TV. whatever mad kiss

Yeah, I know it could be worse but hey, I like to complain tongue Actually there are a few books that I have that I could start but I don't want to (well I want to but I don't) because they are the kind that I will not put down untill they are done, and distract me from everything else (this is expecially bad if I get a bigger assignment on sunday than I have been)

I'll be sober for 9 monthes on FEB. 14, I'm not kidding!! love I drank excessively everyday for close to 11 years. Its rare to have that perfect feeling, what's that saying? one drink away or one too many, or some such shit. No and I don't want a cookie, a gold star, or a 9 month chip from A.A., either. smile I'm not preachy either, because I'm a bit envious I can't get fucked up anymore, but I do have one New Castle and one Guinness in case I do fall of the wagon. tongue HAVE FUN
