I cannot even begin to express how nice it is to be living in San Francisco finally, and having a bedroom! I have not had a bedroom in at least a year. Because of a horrible living situation my friend offered to let me move in (this is my old place) and because it was a one bedroom and the living room was too bright to sleep in, my futon was in the kitchen. I know, I know, strange living situation. Just for the fun of it: What is the strangest living situtation you have ever had?
But now I have a bedroom in a beautiful house, just blocks away from the beach. I love being able to go into my room, close the door, put on some music and read a good book without wondering who is going to come in and disturb my serenity by wanting to grab something from the fridge.
I have also discovered there is an internet cafe around the corner from my house that stays open late and is wickedly cheap
So I will be able to check e-mail and SG more often than I ever thought.
On a bad note, SBC wired my new phone line into one of the other lines in the house so I have no dial tone in my room. They also want something like $200.00 to come out and remedy what they fucked up in the first place. So I am hoping that one of my friends or one of their friends knows how to re-wire a phone

i understand about your living situation i lived for 4 months on a futon behind this guys living room couch. the deal was he needed someone to take care of cleaning his house and taking care of his dog while he was at work and i needed a place to live. it was really not a good situation in the end tho
