I'm trying to pick a topic for my history paper. It's going to end up being really weirdly obscure. I know it. I was thinking today of doing something about Panama and the lack of media coverage. But I guess that if I just did the paper on the coup that took place in Panama I could talk about that for a while and how / why the US decided against a lot of coverage of what happened.

- nationalist movements in Serbia
- history of the diamond trade in Africa
- US interuption of coca plant production amongst South American natives / farmers
- movements that have shaped the public's view of Islam
- drug production and how it influenced society with focus on American culture (ThePill, Heroin, Morphine, penicillins, insulin etc)
