I'm thinking about applying for a local job with one of the companies that my company contracts through. I'd be doing service instead of installation, making way more, getting regular vacation time, and probably working more of a regular work week. Oh, and way less travel. I wouldn't be getting weeks off in a row though, but I think those days are over seeing as how I've been trying to get a week to go to Tennessee for the past 2 months and haven't been able to.
The only real downside is that I'd be attaching myself to the corporate world more. I'm not sure if I'm completely okay with that.
