I want to go see this thing someday:



It is the Leshan Buddha, the largest buddha statue in the world. It is carved into the mountainside where the Minjiang, Dadu and Qingyi rivers converge, in southwestern China. It stands about 220 feet tall, and is about 1200 years old. It took over 90 years to complete. Fascinating stuff.
