My computer is so broken right now. I'm updating from safe mode. I'm trying to figure out a way to salvage all my music, but that doesn't look like it's going to be feasible. I was due for a reload anyways.
The first day of work was fun. I had forgotten how much I enjoy working with my hands. I'm sore all over. I estimate I'll lose about 20lbs in the next month or so from carrying around my toolbelt. I think I wanna go to bed soon.
I finally got a job as an electrical apprentice! I'm totally excited. Now I just have to go buy like $200 worth of tools and crap, and I can get started. Woo hoo!
well I had one....drinking. No not really. I write music, I am trying to start bowling on a regular basis that should keep me occupied.
Thats cool that your becoming an electrician, they make good money.
Oh I shocked the hell out of my self today it was quite thrilling, not the first time but this time I really felt it good.
Ahhh, an update. Sorry I haven't been around much. I don't really even have anything to say right now, but I'll try to post something substantial soon. My mind feels like mush after sifting through thousands of ignorant survey answers. There are some really dumb people on this here internet.
I went swing dancing with Sydni for the first time ever tonight (and Tawnya and... Read More
So it's time for my weekly update. Operation "Entertain my mom and sister while they're in town for a week" went off without a hitch. I got to do some touristy stuff that I haven't done yet and I took lots of pictures. I might upload some of those tommorrow if I feel like it. Sydni had a chance to meet my family (and vice-versa)... I don't know if Sim Tower is old enough to be on there. But I will check anyway. I forgot that site existed, and it is probably a bad thing that you reminded me.
This is an update for the sole sake of not being without an update for a full week. Sorry, but I don't have much to say. Hopefully I'll get an interview from the guy that emailed me on Thursday. My mom is going to be in town for the week, I get to hang out with her and show her the sights. I'm moderately excited... Read More
I've just discovered the joys of RSS feeds. Now I want to shoot myself because I've been messing around with them all day. I've also been nerding up other things, things like downloading plugins for different programs. It's all terribly boring and the honest truth is that I'm just updating to see if I set it up correctly.
You can share, but you can't preach. My approach is to tell people why I drank, and avoid the "what, how, where" part of it. If they can see the same reasons for their own actions, convincing them they might have a problem is simple.
If I talk to you on AIM and you're wondering where I went off to, my AIM account lapsed because it was linked to AOL. So I started a new one. I don't really have anything else to say right now because I'm pretty boring.
I just applied for a job at Wizards of the Coast. I know your inner nerd is so extremely fucking jealous right now. If that's not enough, I also applied at Amazon and Google, although after careful thought I realized that a job at amazon or google would dilute the geekiness of a job at Wizards.
The weekend was fun. Nothing like hanging out with old (and new) friends to remind you how awesome they are.
I've been drawing more over the past few days, too. Back about a year ago when I had money coming out of my ears and before I even thought about getting back into drawing I picked up this book titled "Drawing on the Right Side... Read More
I read that book about 15 years ago! It's true, anyone can learn to draw and really see things. It's where they go from there that counts. Creating your own style and new techniques! The biggest thing is passion though. As long as you have a passion for what you're doing, you can ignore everyone telling you it's not a real job, or you're going to be poor your whole life.......blaaa, blah, blah
I strectched my septum a few days ago with an 8ga retainer. It hurts like hell.
I think I should read more and stay off this computer. I'm not doing anything with myself and it's starting to get me down. I wanna start drawing more. I really wish I could afford some sort of weekly drawing class. I know where one is held but I... Read More
$425 for labor on the clutch alone. I also needed a new axle and an oil change. But labor combined was $600 something while parts was $400 something.
I could cry.
