I set my alarm clock for like an hour earlier than what I needed to get to work on time.

As much as I hate to admit it, I think someone has "A case of the Mondays".

Who could say no to being the man?

Did your Mondays travel into Thursday?
(Are you really moving to Portland?)

I'm headed to the library to pick up some electronics books.

Last night I trimmed my sideburns. They're getting long!

I'm really looking forward to this whole portland thing. It looks like exactly the change of pace that I've been looking for.

Later that day...

The Seattle Public Library's self checkout system has the most fascinating use of RFID tags I've ever seen.

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of WATCHMEN - the classic 12-issue miniseries by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons - with Watchmen: The Absolute Edition, the first hardcover of this classic work in more than a decade!
This oversized (8.25" x 12.5") hardcover collection, packaged inside a beautifully designed slipcase, will be the cornerstone of any serious comic book collection. Each page of art has been restored and recolored by WildStorm FX and original series colorist John Higgins and approved by Gibbons to appear as originally intended.
Additionally, this grand tome will include 48 pages of supplemental material produced exclusively for the Graphitti Designs Watchmen hardcover edition and not seen since their original publication. Included therein is a cornucopia of rare and historically valuable treasures, including samples of Moore's WATCHMEN scripts, the original WATCHMEN proposal, Gibbons's conceptual art, cover roughs, and much, much more!

I need to study the hell out of electronics for my job interview in Portland on the 10th. I'm a little rusty.

I started working on a short story that I might put up here if I get it done any time soon.

Now for the ultimate question....

Be prepared to explain your answer in 100 words or less.

(Or to be less me: whatever's up, I hope you ride it out well.)

it is secret spytech wording.

it translates roughly to:

"sugar snores. as in right now. she is snoring."

and i'd like to add:

lillerdogger has been licking her paws hardcore yo.

I finished rehab almost a year ago, and I'm still clean. I am very thankful for that.

Today I will challenge myself to grow as a person. Specifically to not be so damned passive, and to achieve goals instead of setting them and forgetting about them.

I feel like I was putting off personal growth because it wasn't very possible in the Navy. Now that...

Ever read Dry?

Congratulations to you.

I've heard that writing your goals down and leaving it where you can see it and be reminded every day helps.

Today during my break and during lunch I went out to my car and caught part of the confirmation hearings on NPR for the new Chief Justice. It was mostly senators talking about equality and the constitution and whatnot. "Moderately interesting stuff", I thought, "I sure wish I could speak that well." It was after that I remembered Scattegories.

"Scattegories?", you might be asking yourself...

it was pretty good.

kinda odd how a zombie movie made me laugh, and not because it was so terrible and shoddy it was humorous.

it's kinda of a chick flick.

So after some careful pondering I've decided to hold off on the whole write a novel as soon as possible idea. That's not to say that I'm not interested in writing, but I've decided to give it a practical approach. Too many times in my life I try to get involved in things headfirst and I start out really strong, then abruptly get bored of...

What a great weekend. I met Bettina briefly on Friday (she left some stuff at our apartment) and she seems really cool! I wish I could've had more time to talk to her. Later that day I went out for faux chinese food and karaoke. Let it be known that I've met lil_tuffy like 3 different times and I think the only thing I've ever...

Hey, how did you only meet Bettina briefly? I thought she was staying with you.
Either way, write a novel! It's hard but really fun.

For the majority of the day I used a caulk gun while laughing to myself about how much "caulk" sounds like "cock". Aren't I classy?

luminaire:
You only say that because you think DC sucks more than Wheatus.

Which is pretty crazy, even if you don't like emo, because Wheatus was horrible.
rowan:
Well, if it makes you feel better, I am laughing about it right now. tongue

Reloading windows was not my idea of how my weekend was going to turn out. Luckily I have two different hard drives so I didn't completely lose everything. I kept my music and other important crap.

I'm liking the new job, working with my hands is so rewarding, plus I come home feeling (and smelling) like I did something.

I'm really hungry now, I'm gonna...
