Ugggggh...



So today was supposed to be the last day of Jesse's custody case for his daughters and the worst possible thing happened. Jesse's lawyer filed for a continuance and resigned from his case. She didn't really give a reason why.. There are a lot of reasons I personally believe she bailed, one being she's completely unprepared. I am so unbelievably angry but not anywhere close to as mad as Jesse is. *sigh* I just can't even believe it. This has been a hard enough battle as it is trying to prove to this extremely biast judge that moving the girls out of state is best for them and their well being... And now Jesse is going to have to give his closing argument/statement all on his own and hope that the evidence we've presented over the 5 days of court over the last 2 months has been enough.

The thing is, I don't think he's going to win it this time. I DO think that we'll have a better chance next time around after their mom has completely failed at being a functioning human being AGAIN. This time the girls have an atourney acting in their best interest, which they've never had before and she'll get to witness that their mom doesn't ever follow through with anything she says she's going to do. She likes to talk big in court to get what she wants and then has a habit of picking the meth pipe back up, dropping out of the "college courses" she enrolled in, not paying her bills, not feeding her children, and getting arrested. So, if Jesse doesn't win this time, I feel pretty confident that next year we'll have a better chance.

This shit is fucking stressful. And I wish we could afford some completely badass lawyer who is more capable of handling a custody case of this magnitude. But the fact is, we can't. We'll have to save up and get back at it towards the end of this next school year. It just is what it is.

In the meantime, all I can do is be STRONG and POSITIVE for Jesse so that's what I'm going to do!

Other cool things...

My dad came to visit a couple weeks ago! We had a lot of fun and it was awesome seeing him since I hadn't seen him since I moved to WA in February. We went to the EMP museum, a food festival called Bite of Seattle that was totally rad, Pikes Place market, the waterfront, out to an amazing restaurant called Elliott's, and a movie. It was great seeing my dad.

Now this weekend, my mom is flying me to Sacramento for our family reunion. I will be there for essentially NO TIME whatsoever. Lol I get there late Friday night, I'll be there all day Saturday, then I leave on Sunday just before noon. Sooooo yeah. But it'll still be cool to see my mom and get some of my summer clothes that I left at her house. Lol I really wish I could stay there longer but oh well. The trip was free so I can't complain!
