I woke up in a new America this November 5th. An America where hope prevails over fear. Where peace prevails over war. And where unity prevails over division. Walls came tumbling down last night before my very eyes...before OUR eyes...and we all now have a President-Elect who will tear down many more walls. Last night, as Barack Obama gave his victory address, I cried. I cried tears of joy, tears of amazement, that this nation now has redeemed itself in my eyes. In the eyes of so many. Watching the crowds in Grant Park, in Times Square, in DC along Pennsylvania Avenue...all around the world...unified by three words.

YES. WE. CAN.

And yes we will.

Thank you, all of you, from the bottom of my heart. This is not just President-Elect Obama's victory.

It's America's.
