I hate being the "new guy".
But here I am, trying something different, putting myself out there to hopefully meet some interesting people that I can connect with.
I am also procrastinating from doing a uni assignment that's due in 2 days and I haven't started it yet.
I miss my brother, he randomly decided to go to the USA for 2 months, he has been gone for 3 weeks. So I sit here in my cold tiled house with my gorgeous Kitten, Flo and my computer. My house is too big for just one person so I have retired to one half of it to conserve energy.
My Aunt died a couple of weeks ago and I had to travel to my hometown for the funeral. It was unexpected, a car accident, so everyone was devestated, especially my mum. It broke my heart to have to watch her become hysterical as she buried her sister.
I knew the day would come when I realised that I am growing apart from the Ex. Yes we still talk every other day, but without the intimacy and love there really isn't anything left. I still see him as much as we used to, but that was only once a month at the most and our long-distance relationship was based almost solely on communication.
I have a couple of weeks till exams, then I am going travelling for 5 weeks up the east coast of Australia hopefully getting to Cairns by the 5th week. By the time I get home my brother will be back and he will hopefully buy a house for us to live in.
I think that's enough random thoughts for the first blog.
Hopefully I can make some new friends who can help me procrastinate my life away.

You're from Canberra? And work at the YHA? Surely that would mean you drink at Transit... Yet I can't recall ever seeing anyone with such purple hair there...
