I just got back from the mall. A quick bill payment suddenly became a quest for a pair of Doc Martens boots. Never owned a pair, but I will soon! I tried some on and I love 'em.
On my travels, I was very disturbed and disgusted to find a store with fucking CHRISTMAS stuff up (not a Christmas-specifc store; that would be understandable)! God damn it! Can I throw something at you? What the FUCK is wrong with you people?!?!?!?!?! Can we at least get through the 4th of July? Maaaaybe once we're done with Halloween I'll be able to take a couple of nicely trimmed trees. I could have tempted the gods by deciding to look at possible gifts early, but should that really be bad karma? Is it so selfish to attempt to avoid capitalism's biggest economic rush?
But it's been a good day. The flat is looking much better and I came up with a few good storage solutions for some of my shit, which, whether I want to admit it or not, I do have too much of.
