I'm really wondering about my sanity once I've gone to bed...
I had a HORRRIBLE fucking nightmare last night! Somehow, Condoleezza Rice had gotten into my apartment! As if that wasn't enough, she had a bunch of pictures of Bush that were drawn much like those of North Korea's Kim Il-sung, whom I have been researching lately. So we're watching her confirmation hearings in my living room and I keep saying "Fuck Bush", "Fuck [major politician], "Fuck [major politician]". Eventually she said that if I didn't stop, she would have the Feds come and take me away!
In other news, my bid to change careers seems to be going fairly well... Got a couple of calls this week. One was for Japanese, which I do speak a tiny bit of, but I would never want to put it into a job context for fear of not knowing enough. This has actually been the second call I've generated from Monster. Better take one language off of there!
The weekend was long (had to work Friday and Saturday nights), but I was recognized by 501blue, who actually ran out in the cold to say hello to me! Ah, the power of SG! LOL. I'm finally meeting some people from here, which is awesome! I didn't think SG would lead to any actual people. it's cool because I don't have many friends here in Columbus. The ones I do have are either female or a direct connection from streetspirit. That's awesome, don't get me wrong. But if I really want to hang out with the guys, it means a trip back to PA, which I have less and less time for.
So it looks like things are starting to turn around in January. Now, if I can just get those dreams straightened out....

Condaleeza would be bad though. I've just gotten done making seditious remarks about voting at another journal and I do sometimes get the fear of the law in me.
I understand on the language thing. I'd be apt to put German on a resume and be way too nervous to try the job too. Maybe you should take some classes, foreign languages sell. Ashame that we have to sell.
Alright, recommendations:
1) Movie is the hardest one because I watch so few movies. Ahh! Try the documentary "Thin Blue Line" that's quite good.
2) Book. Vurt by Jeff Noon. Cross tripping with virtual reality and feathers. Read it, I mean it.
3) Album. King Crimson's Discipline. Only egg-heads like this one , and it probably won't do anything for you, but spreading the word about the King is my job.
