I've decided this week that it's time to get involved with the issues surrounding the election.
A friend of mine recently saw Howard Dean speak at Penn State. One of the main points of his speech was that voting alone is not enough. He has a very valid point there.
Never have I been so motivated. Last year, streetspirit and I marched in the Columbus Pride Parade with an ally group, but we never made it to their meeting. On Friday, I decided to find out when the next one would be. It's time for me not only to take a stand, but to back myself up on it as well! I will be doing something about the issues at hand and, who knows, I may make a friend or two along the way. I can't just sit there and bitch any more.
