i had that work-related motivational problem saturday night. it wasn't that i wasn't feeling well, i just dreaded the idea of going in. so much that i called someone 30 minutes before my shift begging them to work for me. forgot he was out of town. so i sucked it up and went anyway. i looked at it as a lesson in discipline. two hours into the shift it got really busy and everything seemed to work itself into its own groove. i opted for an attitude adjustment. i made a pretty decent amount of money and i had really pleasant customers and my tables turned over pretty quickly. i think that was my karmic reward for not wanting to do something i should and going ahead and doing it anyway. isn't it great when you do the right thing and problems just seem to resolve themselves?
