I wonder where everything went wrong...
It seems one moment I was a kid, beyond happy, entranced by the simplest of occurrences, hopeful and faithful that all was well with the world and the future was bright!
After just a blink, I opened my eyes and saw the world for what it is... a horribly mislead, deteriorating illusion of grandeur. The sheeples (sheep-people, if you couldn't figure that out) all fall in line, standing by, watching the world as it gets coated by oil, corruption, and greed. They just want their share of the oil, no matter how it comes to them, no matter the cost. We have to drive to work, right?
Forget that there are plenty of other ways to travel, as long as you're not a slave to the "American way," the obese, lazy trend that has exploded here and worldwide.
We, as people do not deserve the intellect inherent to our species. It seems the more we think, the more we destroy. In the name of "I deserve this," or "everyone ELSE drives one."
There are other ways to generate energy, other methods to power that car in your driveway, smarter ways to do everything. Yet corporate greed maintains a stranglehold on the worldwide economy, and politicians PAY them to continue doing what they're doing. My definition of "Pay" in this rant is a loose one; it could range from literally Paying financially to Paying through political "favors," to generating wars out of nothing under the guise of a noble act; for the benefit of a private corporation or group of corporations.
I fear I haven't made much sense, but at least I feel better, and my mind is clearing... time to head outside perhaps.
