The power went out at work tonight and it was pitch black in the store. I had to guide everyone outside and wait out in the cold rain for about an hour, waiting for the power to come back on. It was pretty creepy being in the store alone after all the power was off and there wasn't any high pitched buzzing sounds coming from the worn down 1980's computer setup...

...I wish I was focused on creating art more than I was work. I want to be focused on scouting out places to shoot scenes for my movie. I want to write music while backpacking in the mountains. I want to have my job be observing society from a far, and slowly shape my characters through observation...I HATE wasting my time, doing "my duty" for the man...working at Blockbuster...It seems like theres no room in life for my fantasys and dreams, and that it's so easy to get caught in rythmical habits. Rituals. Slowly letting life slip away to be replaced by a robot.

I don't want to wake up to an alarm ever again. I don't want to obey some higher macheezmo that wants me to perform under their standards and sell my individuality to policy and procedure! Upselling.... ........late fees...... ........idiotic questions....... .....cleaning up messes....... .........getting "written up"........... ..........

I'm so glad I'm going to college, and it'll all be over one day....
