phew.... home again...
Been a long week, but fun. Went to Orlando for a trade show Tuesday - Sunday. Was looking forward to hanging out with my co-worker/friend as Florida as his territory.
Unfortunately, it rains Thursday - Sat.... ughh....
Also, I miss the big snow... kind of sad.
Oh well... we weren't spending the nights outside anyway right?
had a great time knocking around Orlando clubs.
Hi-lights:
-had amazing Cuban steak at The Samba Room
-went to The Back Door for a guaranteed good time..... but it was closed all night for a private party.... everyone inside looked bored to death...
-went to some beach bar and had fun sitting outside in a pavilion drinking under palm trees... life is good.
-some of the guys from the account I'm there helping show up at random and the alcohol starts flowing freely.
-my co-worker and I cruise over to Bennigans for $70 worth of drinks... ouch...
-Bennigans kicks us out and closes around 12:30 and we head to the Orena Sports Bar which is the local dive bar. GREAT time in there!
- wake up at 8am to get over to the show at 9am. stand all day. feel like shite.
-Saturday is a bust as co-worker decides to head home early. I sleep...
-flight home involves 60 screaming babies that have all been fed twice their body weight in caffeine and sugar....... the flight was long....
The best part about the trip was a chance to talk about the company and get some warning about possible opportunities coming up. Positive attitude is restored and direction is found.
