Oh yeah! I'm rocking this SG thing! I finally got started joining groups and uploading pictures. I just may start using this more than the LJ.

I'm in a really tight financial situation. I'm a waiter at a diner in a college town... and during the summer about 80% of the town's population just up and leaves. On top of that, I'm not getting many hours as a waiter, I'm mostly supervisong, which means I'm making even less than the small amount I'd normally make. I love the summer and all, but I can't wait for school to start back up so I can start making cash.

There's a lot of drama at work lately. There are two of us who are, officially, in charge of the overnight shift. The thing is, realistically, it's just me. This kid just gets in the way all the time, and you can't count on him for shit.

The other day, he starts talking about how he wants to fire people (which he can't... he doesn't have the authority). Then, two hours into his shift he says to me "I'm leaving no, and I don't care what you have to say about it!"

And now for a lesson in tact.

How about "Barry, I'm sorry, but I really have to leave. I just can't be here right now"?

No, he just goes off on me and walks out on his shift... something he would have tried to fire anyone else for! But the best part is, he comes back 20 minutes later with several cases of beer and a bunch of his stupid little 16 and 17 year old friends! He takes one of my waitstaff and demands that he drives his friends to a liquor store! So now we're two people short on a busy weekend night.

There's a lot more to the story, but I don't even feel like writing about it.

Anyway, I ended up getting so pissed off that I punched a wall in the face and now I can't make a fist.

I'm stupid.

And I'm off for the next four days... so much for making more money...

But hey, I'm going to Knoebel's on Thursday with my sweetie! So I can't be too upset.

Ok, time to do laundry.
