I'd like to state for the record that people who abuse my generosity get nothing but white hot contempt from me. We had a very bad (for this area at least) snow storm, and I decided to at least clear a pathway to the parking lot from the front stoop. I'm the only guy with a shovel, and it'd be a benefit for everyone. A random act of kindness. I come to find out four hours later it's being used as a parking space. The area I cleaned of is clearly painted off limits for parking ANYWAY, and this one particular tenant decides to use it to her advantage. Now, my gesture for the WHOLE complex (about 8 apartments) is compromised, because people still have to go through several inches of snow to get to their cars.

After swearing for a few hours I came to a conclusion... what I give, I can take away. So, when the car was gone, I leveled the drift right beside it so everything's back to what it was Thursday morning. I'm still iritated by the insult, but this is the most just and equitable decision. If I do something for everyone, and someone's being this selfish, then NO ONE will benefit from this.

They won't have to worry about this again. Next time I'm just shoveling in front of my garage and my back porch and that's it. Ingrateful people ruin it for the rest.
