For the past week I've been waking up at 4am, regardless of when I go to bed. (The only way I've been able to circumvent this is by going to bed at 4am.) It didn't occur to me until last night that idly playing with my self for hours after waking was another symptom, rather than mere opportunity. After last month's false start, spring has finally arrived; and it's kicking me in the crotch a lot harder this year than it has in the last five or six since I stopped dating.

I've never been able to do the one night stand thing. I've had girls sit down next to me and tell me in that tone of voice that I'm very sexy, and I've thanked them before turning them down. Smeg knows I enjoy the attention and the possibilities, but growing up when AIDS was the disease has had a lasting effect, and I know that the disease hasn't gone even though the media has since moved on. I think my libido is starting to complain - curious timing, my thirtieth spring - but every time I consider getting back into the game, I convince myself that solitary masturbation is safer for both heart and health.

On a related note, I discovered The L Word on youtube. We don't get a lot of American television over here, I suspect, and I've stopped watching TV altogether regardless. The only thing I tuned in to this year was last night's Doctor Who (which is now on youtube too). I doubt British television would ever do TLW. It's basically a soap opera, but the lesbian sex assures a heavy male viewership regardless of what actual lesbians think about it. I can't say I'm hooked on it. I'm hooked on various bits of it, and it's slightly surprising which bits.

Two girls making out and starting to fuck in the pool is fun to watch, as the girl watching them through the fence seemed to think; but watching the girl tell her boyfriend about it before they fuck does more for me. Also, two girls who can't sleep start going at it while the other girls in the room sleep around them... except they wake up due to the noise, of course, and cut it short. If I saw such things in porn, it would be... well, porn. What is it about this show that makes it more than porn? Does the fact that it's a legitimate television series do something for it? Or is it just the writing and/or the acting that makes it work?

If only TLW episodes were organised like Doctor Who episodes. Must not have enough nerd viewers. Oh well, youtube is supposed to pull both down anyway due to copyright infringement. The ten-minute thing didn't really help. I wouldn't be surprised if they were successfully sued someday. At least the hand-holding otters are safe.

Oh yeah. Happy April fool's. David Tennant's Doctor Who is a Firefly/Serenity fan, have you noticed?

as far as the dating thing goes--while it may feel safer to be alone, there's nothing wrong with wanting to be near someone either...
one night stands=awkward and stupid, but finding someone you click with can be really nice.

anyways, i just think if you find someone worth your fancy you should pursue her....because you deserve a little excitement. ^__~

as far as the l word goes, never watched it...i know a ton of girls who do...but i get bored with television really easily, especially soap opera plot lines, no matter how exciting the sex scene may be.
and besides i have a better imagination than those crappy screenwriters anyday. lol wink

and with that i just want to thankyou for your lovely comments. kiss
