So, I keep getting this Christmas card.

That's my address on it, sure enough. But the names... the names are wrong. For starters, there should only be one name, because I'm alone here. But my name is not either of these. It's not the Mr. name, and it certainly isn't the Mrs. name. So I write 'not at this address' on the front of the envelope and stick it in the postbox next time I'm there.

A couple days later, it's back. This is annoying. It's not important documentation, true, but it's a Christmas card. You'd think someone somewhere would take the effort to look up the names and try to find the correct address or something. I underline the 'not at this address' and add an exclamation mark after it. Then, after a moment's thought, I add 'twice now!' underneath.

A couple days later, it's back. This is frustrating. In my frustration, I ripped the damn thing in half. There was an annoying amount of loose glitter inside. And the Christmas card. And, as it turned out, a wedding invitation.

Oops.

The saint in my head is now telling me I should do something about it. I'd send a letter... but I doubt it would get where it would need to go. I'd go to the post office, but it seems they already don't give a damn. I'd ask the local newspaper if they'd be interested in using this as some sort of morality tale, and in the meantime getting the information where the intended recipients are most likely to come across it... but I don't want to be in the paper.

On the other hand, I don't want to go through too much effort informing anyone that people who put too much glitter and not enough glue on their Christmas cards, are getting married.

In other news, people I no longer talk to sent me a Christmas card, in which they mention their son is getting divorced. I remember when I met her, I asked her if she was insane or blind. She was sincere, so I wished her luck, and pointed out that she'd probably need it. She didn't seem to take that too well.

I told you so.

i'm pretty sure i already spoke about the wonders of purple puppies.

I actually would rather do the journals topless, but yeah. Youtube is a stickler. If SG ever sets something like that up, i'll be hte first to hop on that.
