Must keep paying attention to all the lovely ladies. Must write new blog thing.
Blog. It's an ugly word, really.
A week or two ago I started watching the first season of Star Trek on DVD. Then came the second and third seasons, followed by the movies. Even the fifth one. Every meal, I'd watch an ep or movie.
I consider this the greatest example of whatever obsessive compulsive behaviour I may have. Gotta watch the whole lot through. Even if I'm in the mood to watch something else.
I suspect the X-Files will be next. I started losing interest after the movie. It got... tired. By the time the guy who played the T-1000 showed up, I was watching the series out of habit. Maybe I'll get all the two-parters that occur after the movie, but I doubt it. In the end the series fell into the same trap as 2010 (though it is a decent movie in its own right). They explained and resolved stuff.
William Shatner is not a terrific actor. He has energy and presence. He's done other things, but he had the most fun doing Star Trek and doesn't seem too unhappy about it pretty much defining his professional life. I did end up seeing a couple of movies he was in since Star Trek. Looks like he's still having fun.
David Duchovny is not a terrific actor. He has no energy or presence that I've noticed. He's done other things, but I don't think he appreciated the X-Files as much. I did end up seeing those two movies about the heart transplant and the meteorite full of alien life. Gillian Anderson was not present, but they were... watchable.
That probably doesn't mean much from someone who can sit through Star Trek V, though.
Edited to add: Woah, they added 15 more slots for favourite SGs? ...Still not enough.
Edited again to add: My main character on WoW just got her shadowcraft tunic, hurrah. Now if only I could get that 45m baron quest done...

i don't think it's even a swimsuit... i don't know what the hell it is. yes, it is difficult to be a woman in the bathing suit department. well, unless you have a totally solid body and are confident walking around in a teeny tiny bikini. otherwise, there really are no other options!
