Two Blogs in One Day...

So over on MySpace I've just posted about Canada and some of the many things I really like about the place.
Where as here I'm going to post about other random crap...
Saw "Dead Man's Shoes" last night, for some reason hadn't got round to it yet and was really impressed. A great British film, slow burning and brilliantly acted. Shame on you IMDB'ers who say it's a crap film as the action's shit - it's not an action film morons, it doesn't have Seagal or Van Damme in it. It's a good drama that has some violence in it.
A friend and I are trying to put together a Halloween bash at a lcoal bar. Should be fun if we can pull it off. Basically it's a chance for the two of us to have a party without trashing a house and to play some eclectic music (I've yet to DJ any of the following vinyl I've been picking up - Dead Kennedy's "Too drunk to fuck" , Oingo Boingo's "No one lives forever", Schooly D's "Saturday Night", Focus "Hocus Pocus", Bowie "Laughing Gnome", Cut Chemist "The Garden", Metallica "Frantic - Unkle mix", Syd Dale "Theme from Screen Test", Trio "Da da da" - not that I'd play them back to back, but maybe within an hour long set...)
I should be working on my screenplay... (Final Draft and WhizFolders are open in the background to show willing).
Question of the moment - should I have a soak in the bath or a shower before heading off to the cinema this afternoon (if it helps I'm off to see "The Devil wear Prada" and then going to a pub quiz).
Okay, one Canada reference here - I've got The Hip's music player in the background and it's playing the whole of their new (unreleased) album and it's playing "Lonely End of the Rink" for the second time this morning - and it's possibly my favourite track of the moment, another classic track from them. I first heard it live earlier this year when they played London and didn't know it but was impressed by the 'guitar hook' back then, and enjoying it again now I can't wait for the CD.
