JOB SITUATION UPDATE!!!
SO after I put my 2 weeks in with my current employer they really started to freak, its getting to be crunch time and losing me would have fucked up everything so they made me a counter offer and I accepted. I am now the Group Sales Manager and Customer Relations Director.
Some of the perks of my new job are:
A raise - 10K more a year!!!!!!
Full Medical Insurance - paid for by the company not taken out of my check!
2 weeks PAID vacation
5 addl sick/personal days
My own office with wireless internet FINALLY!
I'm also in charge of all the customer service dept employees which is gonna be kinda weird cuz one of them has been a seasonal employee for over 25 yrs and I have yet to celebrate my 1 yr anniversary (its on oct 10) I'll be making alot more money and I wil be salaried now BUT all my OT will be accumulated into add'l sick/personal days and at the end of the year if I havent used them I can have them cashed out!! And anything I book over my quota will resulte in bonuses which means more $$$$$$$!!!!!
I am very excited!!! My new job gives me so much more resposibility and I feel like I am FINALLY doing what I was meant to do there!!! Bill was great when I came home he had two bottles of wine wrapped up for me - Im such a wine nut and he did a good job picking them out all by himself!!
Thanks to everyone who wished me well!! It looks like things are gonna be great!! And I'm making a helluva a lot more money and I can finally start pulling myself outta debt!!
This weekend is Applefest here in Warwick - its like the big once a year festival that we have and the whole area comes out for it - theres gonna be lots of music, food and beer drinking in the streets to be had by all!! I will be attending with Bill, his sieter Sheila, her husband Heath and her best friend Kim who I adore and havent seen in year - she used to be one of BIlls roommates back in the day and she is a pretty rockin chick. We may do some outlet mall shopping tomorrow too but I havent decided yet - the Woodbury Commons isnt the type of outlet shopping most people get - its high priced high end stuff so while ur getting good deals ur still paying out the ass - its a huge tourist attraction though - people from Japan make special trips here just to shop there - weeeeird i tell ya!!
While I wish I had more time to write more I have to run and get ready for work now cuz we have an appraiser coming to appraise my house in like 30 mins - eeeek!!
I plan on getting rip roarin drunk and celebrating tonite!!!
