This working on Saturday stuff is for the birds!!

For those of you who dont know what I do - I am teh office manager for a local ski area - but its summer and theres no snow so we are using our facilities to host company picnics, corporate team events, fun outdoor meeting things, parties, receptions blah blah blah. Now I wasnt supposed to work the picnics as I am not a hospitality employee I handle the office day to day ops BUT they didnt think they needed any more summer employees so I became needed so I bartered for days off next month and am working Saturdays thrugh the Summer. Do you know what my job is at these functions? To be my happy chipper talkative self smile and make sure evertyine is having fun. Thats it. Im sorry but for as much as I love that my company thinks my personality is a necessity at these things I am really not needed. BUt its all Overtime so if they wanna pay me double time to come in and be me fine but that means I get to go down the Waterslide dammit! LOL I dont wanna go to work today! I wanna stay home and read my Sports Illustrated Fantasy Football Preview and chill out. ARGH!
