So yesterday was my first day at my new post. I was placed in a parking lot to watch...cars. I HATED IT. I hated the first 3 hours of my shift and was ready to go home, I hemmed and hawed...Oh I was mad! To just SIT there for 8 hours, that has to be the dullest thing EVER! Sure I can bring a book and what not, but still.

But then I was cross-trained on the other positions in the sudio itself...(Im working the Lyans Den with Rob Lowe)...I got to walk throught the sets (amazing!). In side the building the was air conditioning, activity, really nice people..About10 O'clock everything was pretty cool and I started settling down...I think Ill enjoy working there. Plus craft services! all you can eat! PLUS CATERED LUNCHES...For EVERYONE! good food too!

No Rob sightings though...I'll keep everyone informed about that. and I got sunburned, YUCK! im sort of sore right now frown

Today Im back for 4 hours, then I start my regular 8 again tomorrow.

I enjoyed them all. And i must dispute the facts in #3. The clock in my car is 10 minutes ahead of any clock you can find. And still I'm late for work. wink

The second poem was amazing. We've all fallen for that one before.

And the first poem was beautiful. I miss that kind of love.

ahh, definately a man after my own heart. honestly think Transmet and 100 Bullets are probably the best things being written today. Brian Azarello is fucking brilliant when it comes to the film noir/colloquial mastery of modern life. and what can you say about Transmet? my only complaint is how is the best thing in literature today about freedom of speech, press and expression being written by a man who doesn't even live in the country that garuntees them?

i'm also big on Ellis' Planetary (a comic about all great fucking sci fi comic bullshit of the last hundred years seen in a way you never thought of) and Grant Morrison's The Filth. and for the sheer comic (and by that i mean funny) brilliance Garth Ennis' run on The Punisher... what can i say, i like my humour like i like my coffee - black as sin.

thank you for enjoying the story. the second chapter is up today. not having much luck on actual criticism though. is it too wordy? bizarre? over dramatic? should i quit rubbing opium into my eye sockets while snorting peyote when i write it? someone has to give me a little literary support here.

interesting day? what exactly do you do? and can you smuggle me some of this free food? hey, i work for the government... the benefits are great but the work and the pay sucks.
