Heh, well christianity started off misdirected so it makes sense that it would end that way. Halloween isn't that big a deal over here in Britain. I used to go Trick or Treating, and there were a few apple bobbing contests, but that was about it. It's just another day of the year to us Brits. Good that you have something to look forward to.
And you have thanksgiving. Maybe I can find a nice American over here who'll take me under their wings for the night and show me what a real thanksgiving is like
But we have Guy Fawkes night. Where we celebrate the fact that his plot to blow up the houses of Parliament failed. Hrrmm. Think what it would be like if he had managed to succeed! I wonder... Would we have ended up celebrating the fact that he succeeded!?
Autumn is probably my favourite season too. It's cold, but sunny. The air smells fresh (even in London) and it's time for a new school year.
